It's not just our windows we put so much care into, it's our doors too!
Whether it be French doors, Patio Doors, UPVC Doors or Composite Doors – you’ll find the same level of quality, care and research has gone into all that we do. Doors have to be durable; they have to take a bit of a beating in most houses, whether that be from the wind and rain, the shopping bags scraping along them or the dog running in and out. At Re:Place Windows Limited we pride ourselves on our quality of installation but also our expertise beforehand, discussing your options, listening to your needs and opting for the most suitable product for you and your lifestyle.
Please have a look through some of the information laid out on this page as we aim to give a brief breakdown of one of the most popular choices – Composite Doors. Then, if you like some of what you see, please get in touch and we can answer any further questions you may have.
What are Composite Doors?
Composite doors enjoy many similar benefits to UPVC Doors but give a more traditional timber look and feel. They are manufactured using a composition of materials; timber, insulating foam and Glass Reinforced Plastic being the main ones. The door leaf is comprised of high-density polyurethane foam with timber being used in the sub-frame for extra strength. Aluminium inserts are also used on both sides to prevent the door from warping or bowing. The doors are then finished off with a GRP outer skin, which is immune to sun fade and discolouration – it’s the same material used to make the hull of boats! All composite doors are tested in accordance with;
- Water tightness – BSEN 1027
- Wind resistance – BSEN 12211
and come with a large selection of colours and glazed options to choose from. FROM £750
